I have started my holiday shopping early and I am googly eyed over the charming and whimsical felted items from Made In Lowell.  Liz Smith is an artist who makes adorable items out of felt and wool.  Her charming little items will fill your heart with whimsy!!! Recently I found this shop on Etsy and just had to share it! Who doesnt love to live in t-shirts? You can dress them up, dress them down or just dress in them! I am a t-shirt connoisseur  and I love comfy, cozy tees. The fact that these tees are a conversation starter, eco-friendly and socially responsible make them irresistible!

Recently I found out about The Orange Owl, a lovely little skin care shop based in Vermont, and I was intrigued.  I am a self-labeled skin care junkie, and there is nothing that makes me happier than trying out quality skin care products and telling you all about them!  I am extremely pleased with what I have found at The Orange Owl!

I received a soap and a lip balm, and from day one I was in love with the products.  I got the Cinnamon and Spice lip balm, and it keeps my lips soft and not waxy at all.  The soap, Masala Chai, is like taking a shower inside of a frothy cup of chai tea. The scents of cardamom, clove and ginger wake my senses in the morning and soothe them at night.  The soap lathers beautifully and leaves skin soft.

I had never heard of Quirky until this week when I met the CEO and founder, Ben Kaufman, at a Consumer Reports media and marketing summit. Let me tell you, I now know all about Quirky, and I feel like it is my duty to share this awesome company with our readers!

Quirky is a company that creates new products based on people’s ideas and inventions.  That is right, you and I can submit our ideas to them, and the panel of board members votes weekly on which ideas could actually become a viable product to be sold in real life!  I think this concept is amazing. The collaboration between Quirky board members, employees and the online community is incredibly innovative, and it works!  Read about the Quirky Process here.

While at the meeting, Ben showed us the latest product to hit the shelves. Its called Pivot Power, and it is a power strip that is movable and bendable so you can actually plug everything in to just one power strip!  Check out the video here .

Etsy is an online marketplace where artists and craftspeople can sell their wares.  There is something for everyone at this marketplace.  You will find unique handmade items with panache! Everything from jewelry to stuffed animals to note cards can be purchased at Etsy.   I am going to do a feature one one Etsy retailer every month to share some of the fantastic items I find.  This months featured retailer is ChetandDot.

ChetandDot is a shop run by Jenn Hill who lives in Portland, Oregon.  She makes fanciful items including pillows, stuffed animals, and decorative little creatures that are guaranteed to bring a smile to your face.  Every time I look at her online shop, I find things I want to purchase.
