Here at A Girl Must Shop we’re huge fans of Seawicks candles for a number of reasons.
- They’re a local company – based in Maine (not too far from our Dracut, MA headquarters)
- The candles (currently in 21 different scents) are handmade and contain only materials made in the USA including 100% High Quality “SOY” wax and lead-free wicks. They are also completely free of dyes.
- They give back – they donate 50 cents for every candle sold to coastal conservation
- They care. When I contacted Michael at Seawicks about donating a raffle item for my family’s Halloween Masquerade Party to benefit The Alzheimer’s Association of MA/NH, he didn’t hesitate for a second.
While we spend a lot of time talking about products we love from big companies, we go out of our way to help home- and hand-made businesses who don’t have big marketing budgets. We’re just like them. Scrappy entrepreneurs trying to make a living doing what we love.
