I can’t even put into word how excited I am to catch the bus to the BlogHer12 Conference tomorrow. Why’s BlogHer such a big deal? It’s hard to put into words, but Darryl Pollack did a pretty good job in her HuffPo article, Why BlogHer Is a big deal — to Katie Couric, Martha Stewart, President Obama and Me:
“BlogHer has somehow managed to preserve the feeling of intimacy and freedom that exists on the Internet. Some people might disagree, but based on my experience, what’s special is that feeling of openness, of acceptance, of knowing that this group gives voice to such a range of thoughts, feelings and opinions — and even more importantly, that people listen.”
Nail, meet head. This single quote embodies the spirit of BlogHer and why year after year more and more BlogHers get together for BlogHer. Sure, we all love the sessions, parties and swag, but it’s the camaraderie that grows BlogHer every year.
