While I was reading a magazine at the gym today, I read about the Beads for Life Organization.
Beads for Life is a program that gives Ugandan women a chance to work and earn their own money. The women collect shea nuts and create products from them including soaps and lip balms. The women also gather recycled paper and make gorgeous, colorful jewelery. This is a great way to help impoverished women help themselves.
