I recently found a website called My Points. Its kind of like a rewards website, where you can earn points for purchasing goods and answering surveys.
Well, they also have a section called Local Deals, and it is exactly that. You search by area code, and a list of vendors in your area comes up who are offering major discounts! I was at a loss for what to get my brother in law, but I wound up purchasing a 50.00 gift certificate to an Italian restaurant in his neighborhood for .. drum roll please…… SIX Dollars!!!!
I could not believe the savings! There are conditions so read the fine print. But some of the coupons I saw were for hair salons, spas, restaurants and small local stores!
