Shopping Weekend in Boston
Jimbo and I were lucky enough to find the best hotel in the Copley Square area – right between the Copley Mall and Newbury Street – The Copley Square Hotel. Built in 1891, the hotel recently underwent a $18 million renovation transforming the historical hotel into a plush 4-star boutique hotel. Our room had a great view of Huntington Ave, an amazing bed and lots of room for a Boston hotel.

Saturday we spent the day in the Copley Malls where Jimbo bought me this shiny new Calvin Klein Winter Coat to replace a lovely hand-me-down suede number that turned out to be too heavy. Merry Christmas to me! Dinner was at Sel de la Terre (I high suggest the Assiette de charcuterie) and dessert was Molten Chocolate Cake at the Top of the Hub.
Sunday we had a leisurely brunch at Sonsie (amazing Benedicts!) where some great dancers pimping out the Memorex miniMove gave us a little show (great guerrilla marketing Memorex, but be sure you’re on all the social networks and next time hand out cards with a hashtag for twitter, flickr and all the popular networks to lengthen and extend the reach of your campaign).
We hit Urban Outfitters (we love the Hello Kitty Plush Collectible Figures, Ceramic Owl Dish, and the Stay Puft Marshmallow Man Bank.)
And the mini disco ball and Chocolate: A Love Story

And fell in love with these guys at Life is Good

I can be quite squeamish so it always delights me to discover a hotel that doesn’t only offer a comfortable, temporary living area, but an assortment of wonderful extras as well. It’s good that you had fun

The Stay Puft Marshamallow Man Bank would be a great gift idea for my DH’s inner little boy! I’d keep The Chocolate Love Story for myself.
Sounds like an amazing trip; makes me want to go visit my friend’s daughter at BU and have Eggs Benedict for brunch.
