Now that Sephora has opened up a shop in my local mall, I visit much more frequently. It’s hard to believe but I used to be just the teensiest bit overwhelmed or even afraid of that place.
Now I make friends at Sephora.
Every time I go in, I meet a new friendly salesperson and ask them about their favorites and best sellers.

My latest favorite fragrance picks lately? Viva la Juicy and Ed Hardy (which they can’t keep on the shelves it’s so popular!)
Oh! And my favorite beauty product is this amazing eyelash conditioner – Eyelash Lipocils
by Talika.
This unique, transparent gel enriched with a complex of lecithin and 100% natural plant extracts is clinically proven and guaranteed to stimulate the growth of lashes, as it conditions and beautifies existing lashes.
Use twice a day, morning and evening, after cleansing. Apply to lashes and to the skin at the base of your lashes. Then apply your favorite mascara when it’s dry, in just one minute.
At $40 a pop, I was skeptical, but my lashes were unruly to say the least, so I caved and bought it. Boy am I glad that I did! In just a few days after applying it day and night my eyelashes were longer and actually straighter. Don’t you love it when a product does what it says?

Must haves from Sephora:
Urban Decay Primer Potion ($16) – Shadow base that will keep your shadow perfect from morning through the evening
Makeup Forever (MUFE) HD Invisible Foundation ($40) – The ultimate flawless foundation… worth every penny. And Sephora is great about samples, just ask for help matching your skintone and get a sample.
Kiss Me by Blinc ($20-ish) – “waterproof” mascara, my go-to mascara
Brow stuff by Anastasia (multiple price points) – great line for brow shaping and definition
Waterproof Lipliners: MUFE Aqua Lips ($16-ish) in 3C and in 11c & Urban Decay 24/7 Lips ($16 or $18, I forget)in Ozone for a “clear” lipliner that helps keep lipstick in place without adding any color.
Another thing about Sephora and samples, they will make samples out of any perfume they have. They have little spray containers that they will spray some of the tester bottle into… why don’t all stores do this??? How often have you asked for a sample at a department store (such as Macy’s or Nordies) only to be told that they have it?
