It’s been a while since we posted a piece of jewelry, no? Well, here’s Jessica to the rescue. Folks, let me tell you that Jessica is my idol. Just take a look at this picture of her sitting on the funkiest YELLOW couch (is that plastic?) I’ve ever seen, surrounded by wicked art on the walls. She’s also WICKED talented. Check out this wicked necklace on her site. And she makes it with her own bare hands:
Each piece of jewelry is made from clear shrink plastic: I cut the plastic, draw on it, bake it, paint it and varnish it all with my own two mitts! Pendants are hung on 17″ leather cording. Because each piece is cut and drawn by hand, each piece is one-of-a-kind with slight variations in shape, size and design.
I’ve finally come to terms with the fact that I was put on this earth to admire art – not to make it – and I’m just fine with that. So long as there are people like Jessica out there to keep making stuff to admire.
